Rick Koerber Wants To Be Utahn Of The Year

The Salt Lake Tribune is having a poll for the Utahn of the year. Rick Koerber has asked all of his followers to vote for him as Utahn of the year. It is troubling to me that he feels that he should win this award. What has he done for Utah or anyone for that matter. Please take the time to vote for someone else other than Koerber. Rick Koerber & Michelle Koerber Getting A Divorce

That is right Rick & Michelle Koerber are calling it quits. Rick Koerber's personal site announces their divorce. Apparently their divorce is waiting on a signature from the judge to be finalized. Tom Harvey with the Salt Lake Tribune breaks the story.

Rick Koerber Federal Court Status Hearing 10/23/09

Rick Koerber had a status hearing today in Federal Court. He quit mooching off the Federal Government as court appointed attorney Jerry Mooney has removed himself. Now Rick has hired his own attorney Marcus Mumford to represent him (there goes the rest of our money). The court is giving him an additional 90 days to get familiar with the case. I hope this doesn't get stalled out for years as we deserve restitution. Prosecutors said there will likely be more charges filed against Koerber in the future.

Mark Shurleff Cancels Speech At Neighborhood Meeting With Freecapitalist Project

The Attorney General Mark Shurleff was schedule to speak at a neighborhood meeting on July 23rd sponsored by the Freecapitalist Project. The AG backed out Friday after he found out the event was sponsored by the Freecapitalist project. The AG's campaign manger was under the impression that this was a neighborhood meeting with no affiliation to the Freecapitalist Project. FreeCapitalist Project Rick Koerber

Does anyone know what costs are involved to be a member of the FreeCapitalist Project? I assume you get to go to a couple of the meetings at no cost. Does anyone know how much money the membership cost? Are there monthly dues? The FreeCapitalist Project website claims that there are members in all fifty states. Does Rick Koerber's "Friends" Have His Back?

It looks like Rick's Friends aren't all standing behind him. City Weekly has a great article talking about Mark & Carl's now distant friendship. I have to commend City Weekly for their great job covering Rick Koerber's scheme from the beginning. Thanks for the tip on twitter FreeCapPonzi.

Rick On The Discussion Boards

I spent a little bit of time today reading the posts that Rick Koerber has written on the message boards (KSL, Deseret News). His posts are semi amusing and standout like a soar thumb. They usually start with I have never met Rick Koerber personally or have ever had dealings with him. Then they just ramble on with how he is innocent, these are circumstances of a down economy, it’s not a crime to loose money, Koerber is a victim and on and on. There is one thing that is for sure if Rick has been mentioned in a discussion board he will be there to defend himself (using a fictitious name of course). I guess its okay since Rick and his wife are the only two defending him. I do have to agree with him that it’s not a crime to loose investor’s money if it’s legitimate. I guess what I don’t understand is how do you loose the whole 100 million in real estate? I certainly could see loosing 30% but I can’t see how it’s even possible to loose it all. Can anyone explain to me how Rick is the victim? I don’t understand. Isn’t he supposed to be finding a job and not Googling himself?

More Assets Than Liabilities

I think it's funny that Rick Koerber claims that he had more assets than liabilities. He doesn't believe in appraisals. How did they come up with the values for their properties? I don't know but one would tend to believe they were fabricated. That's how they had more assets than liabilities.

Rick Koerber & Represntative Carl Wimmer Relationship

The Salt Lake Tribune has a great article explaining the relationship between Rick Koerber & Representative Carl Wimmer. Carl Wimmer said that he had asked Governor Huntsman to fire Francine Giani. Carl and Mark shouldn't try to fool the Governor.

Tomorrow Rick Koerber is going to be on Take Two (KUTV) at 10:00 AM with Rod Decker. Apparently Rick will be taking and answering phone in questions. I'm sure all of his followers will be calling in telling him how great he is.

Doesn't this sum up Rick Koerber he claims he has no money he rents the most expensive hotel's conference room to claim he is innocent and that he is going to counter sue. I'm sure everyone at the Department of Securities is running scared. Do you really need to keep on spending investor's money?

Gabe's property at 1001 North Fort Canyon Road in Alpine, Utah is being foreclosed on. I guess I should call it "The Mansion" as it's Rick's house that is being foreclosed on. Does anyone know if Rick is still living in this house?

Update 3/30/08

I have had a few people email me to see if I have heard from Gabe. I haven't he must still be hiding in Cedar Hills.

There is a new complaint filed against Gabe, Rick, Brandon & Annuit Copetis. The plaintiffs are a couple out of Colorado that gave Gabe all of their retirement money. This makes me sick thinking about this couple working their whole life to lose it all to Gabe & Rick. If you haven't seen or heard about this lawsuit please take the time to read through the filing.

If you know what Gabe's new business venture is please let me know. I'm not sure why he thinks that it's okay for him to use investor money to build a new business. If you have enough money to start a new business pay your investors back.

I have been bombarded with emails and comments but I'm trying to get back to everyone as quickly as possible.

I have heard that the Utah State Division of Securities has halted their investigation. My understanding is that Mark Shurtleff has asked for a committee to probe the department. I have also heard that they are claiming that there is corruption in the department. I have also heard that Rick is an acquaintance of Mark Shurtleff. This is a real blow to all of us that has invested money into "downlines". This will give them more time to hide and spend our money.
